Hi Scribblers!
I hope you have some exciting plans for this three day weekend! For many, next week will be the first week of school!! To start the year off right, I came up with this fun back to school Lunch Back Backpack! Your little scribblers can use it to carry their lunch, carry their school supplies, or they can hang it in their locker to keep their supplies in a handy bag!

Here are the supplies you will need to make this craft:

Craft Supplies
To start making the craft, use a ruler to measure two 14″ pieces of ribbon:

Tape the ribbon pieces to the back of the lunch bag to make backpack straps:

Place glue below the fold-line on Backpack flap piece with buckle. Align the fold-line with the top edge of the bag so that it will fold toward the front of the backpack:

Next, take the pocket piece:

On the back of this piece, glue along the two side edges and the bottom edge. BE SURE NOT TO GLUE ALONG THE TOP EDGE so that this will work as a pocket!

Backpack Lunch Bag step 4
Glue the pocket piece to the bottom of the front of the Backpack and then decorate with the Backpack “patches”:
